Then include the spinning as a second part of the idle. It looks awkward by itself. It worked in the original game but it doesn't fit in this one. I'm sure that quite a few characters have iconic "stances" that aren't actually applied in the IDLE.
In fact, we could make Sukapon's spin a taunt. That's where most characters have their MOST iconic things. Hell, Mario has his "iconic" "my dick is facing the camera" stance in his taunt. If we were really worried that much about it being "iconic" more than "not awkward," we'd have to change everybody's stances around.
Everybody in Brawl looks like they're ready to beat the shit out of everybody. With the exception of like... Peach. :I Sukapon just looks like he's spinning around like an idiot. It doesn't fit with the theme of the game.

If someone can make an idle that looks good, I guess we coud change the spinning. Suck though, cause I really like the spinning.

I really think the spinning should be more like how he walks and the animation for idling for a period of time or something. :\ Spinning all the time just seems... distracting.

Well, Sukapon is just a comedian modified to battle. I think it makes sense that he doesn't seem all that serious. Heck, most of his moves are stupid/not serious looking in Joy Mech Fight.
Also, I think his idle should stay the same since it's his original idle stance when he fights. It's like how Link has his idle fighting stance from Twilight Princess and how Samus has her general idle stance from her games. So I don't see why Sukapon shouldn't.

He should probably have a two part idle. One where he's facing forward doing sole... idle stuff, spin, back to idle, spin, and so on.

So maybe just with walking will be spinning? or we could make him spin clockwise/counterclockwise depending on the direction he's facing.

I'd prefer the latter, but seeing how the vast majority of people are against his original spinning idle, we might as well just go with former.

Well, everyone's free to make their own contributions to the project, competition and skill filter out the best ideas.
I do appreciate the Sukapon spinning idle, but its just too hard to work with.
I just made that idle out of my own imagination to make the animations work with it.
It's possible to connect this current idle to a spinning/walking animation cycle, but it will take some time think about how it'll connect.

I would definitely agree to spinning being his walking, but as an idle I would be inclined to protest.

Also, it would be difficult to see which way you were facing

Well, the spinning idle could be slowed down to make it more obvious which way he spinning. Or maybe his head could stay stationary when he's idle while the rest of him spins?

The second idea would work for his walking cycle.
Have his head face the fixed direction while he's walking, and just have the rest of his body spinning.

I think an all-or-nothing approach with the spinning is a better idea. Someone come up with an idle, hah.

I'm guessing the fact that Alpha's post was thanked by a majority means nothing.
