Checked it out today, unfortunately it was a bit empty with only 6 people (including me), 3 on each team. Due to this I couldn't really experiment or get used to 10x since with so few people pretty much every player is essential (and the opposing team was owning). I was enjoying taking no damage when rocket jumping with the Gunboats though, and the Soda Popper fired super quick.
Either way it's in my favourites so I'll probably pop in every now and then.

Also went on a randomizer server for the first time, OH MY GOODNESS. Scouts with rocket launchers, Spies with miniguns, Demos with sniper rifles, and half the people are in that sliding reference pose. At one point I was a Medic with a Golden Wrench and the Engineer's PDA, whacking away at a sentry. It's the most horrible and glorious thing ever. One thing I noticed was that it seems that all non-Soldier classes seem to fly extraordinarily high when rocket jumping, although it may have just been the server or something. So that's also in my favourites.

So yeah I agree, I would totally love to see a randomizer + 10x server.

i always thought dying 30+ times in the first couple waves was normal and that i was just really terrible or it was just really hard


turns out its neither because when you are with people who are halfway competent you don't end up getting cornered in spawn with the robots instakilling you; we literally failed 2 times and it was only because a super scout got through the tank explosions before we could see them and them jumped in before we could act

Reminds me of a while back when I crafted a Texas Ten Gallon. A few months later, the very next item I crafted was a second Texas Ten Gallon, which I ended up giving to a friend of mine.
