There actually isn't anything unusual about the Headtaker other than the name (it doesn't even glow like the original), and the hats crafted from it aren't Unusual, either.

going into trade servers and get douchers who want to profit? Fuck that, use this service. The automated bots could give less than two fucks about what you're selling; they're giving you fair, even trades.

I've traded a ton of stuff back and forth with this service, it's pretty legitimate. You can actually get 1:1 trades for your hats here. Maybe give or take a few weapons depending on the credit price of the hat you're looking for, but still!

But why wouldn't you want to profit from a free game via worthless aesthetic items?

Eh, so today I traded all of my duplicate weapons to some guy for a considerable amount of metal. And with some of the metal, I got a berliner's bucket helm :>

Edit: also, I managed to get my own haunted metal today. I actually got the achievement by accident, after trying for nearly an hour to get it on purpose. Heh.

Halloween update this week. I guess it's not all bad. :)

Eye of Cthulhu confirmed for TF2 2011 Halloween Boss

Figures that the day before the big halloween update the only tf2-capable computer I had access to konked out. Oh well, I still managed to trade a few things for the Pyro's demon costume. I'm pretty pleased about this I got the Spy's Intangible Ascot also. Looks like you can wear them all year round on certian maps

Is that what "Full Moon" means then? Still kinda dumb but whatever.

I'm still wondering if that's how the "Haunted" item status is gonna work out.

Yeah, the general consensus is that the costume items will always be active when you're playing on night maps with a full moon visible.

The Buzz Killer, which I hate greatly and will never ever wear.
Griffin's Gog, which looks pretty cool when you have the Intangible Ascot and some sort of hat. I wear them with my Detective Noir.

and a Haunted Garlic Flank Stake. I hope Haunted versions of items will be able to be worn all year round or something. This isn't a bad item really, not my favorite, but not really that bad.
