The new game mode will be playable Wednesday, if I'm not mistaken. I believe that the pages are just showing what will be released on Wednesday, when MtP comes out
This is playing out exactly like last year's Uber Update; what's very likely going to happen is that we'll be getting Meet the Pyro on Wednesday, and then the update will officially ship out on Thursday.
