The one on the left isn't mine, it's Arthur's. And the pose is pretty much the same, I just made one leg bend in a different direction. The one on the left looks like it's leaning way too far forward IMO.

Actually I think the small wings are good. Look at the other official Ridley sprites:

They are very small.

However the ones in Prime are big, and they're big in Brawl and Melee (check the vid).

He's right you know. Its really a question of if you want a classic Ridley or a Prime style. Ridley. The difference is that the Prime styled one was made to look good in 3D. Here's a close to the scale of the sprite reference of Brawl Ridley for comparison purposes.

I think it'd be best to go with smaller wings. If it he had a huge wing span, he'd seem like too big of a character.
NOTE: I MIGHT need help on the feet. If they don't look too good when I shade them, I'll need help I believe. It's still a heavy WIP.
Since I probably won't be able to make poses for him, I'll seperate the parts when I'm done with it so it'll be easier to make poses.

Star's Ridley looks too much like he's squatting,.

Some battle stances have people getting lower to the ground, and spreading out their limbs just as Ridley is showing.
It seems fine to me.

Yeah but the knees should be more bent.
Also upon inspecting it I noticed two shades of black. Or a purple that is so dark its indistinguishable.

Ok. I just thought Ridley would look good hovering. But It does look good.
(edit. by hovering I mean flapping his wings not just sitting there)

With small wings he has a better movement, but this restriction is a bit unneccessary if you have big 3-D-areas.

I just realised, surely if ridleys wings were out, then it would look ridiculous if someone tiny like Stafy grabbed him?
Im sorry, I think he looks awesome with wings unfolded, but it just seems to make not very much sense
