Im sorry, I think he looks awesome with wings unfolded, but it just seems to make not very much sense
Eh, it looks ridiculous when Pichu grabs Bowser or when anyone grabs a giant character, but that worked out fine in Brawl and Melee.
Bump?
I attempted to sort out some missing shading in Ridleys closest leg and wing bones.
Are you sure it's not just bent at the knee?
Maybe if the legs were more like this?
It's a somewhat odd way to put one's leg, but it is better.
If his leg is like that it's almost like he's going to be flexing.
Yeah its not perfect... But its an idea.
That could be part of a taunt or idle action, but not for a general pose.
Moveset Ideas: (mostly based on
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j52MlFDbb3U)
B: Fireballs. Fires five balls made of fire out of its mouth
> B: Tail Whip. Whips its tail around, and anyone caught Ridley grabs, slashes/breathes fireballs/hits with tail or whatever before throwing backwards
Up B: Wing of the dragon. Like Pit's Up B, except Ridley hurts anyone that comes onto contact with Ridleys wings
Down B: Wing Shield. Wraps itself in its wings. Any attacks that hit Ridley (hands-on or projectile) causes Ridley to flaps its wings back out quickly, firing back any projectiles and anyone hitting Ridley
Final Smash: Burning Whirlwind (crappy name, sue me.) flies off screen, and reappears on one side of the stage, before flapping its wings frantically, stirring a strong wind to blow everyone and everything towards the opposite side to Ridley. Also, when this is going on, Ridley is firing fireballs at different angles
Any other ideas?
Your moveset seems a bit overpowered, basically because of the down B and the up B (FS is fine, and what about let him shot controllable angle fireballs while in it? just to look better). Down B could not be a counter, or don't have the repel effect. Pit's up b is a great way to back in the stage and a a great manifestation of lazyness/lack of originality of the creators, let just Pit have this.
Quick Idea- Wind Pression: Ridley open wide his wings and swing then tightly, going up, doing damage at contact and having an air push behavior below him, like Mr.G&W air up a, but stronger.
I like your idea for the Up B, and for the down B I couldn't think what to do. Anyone else got any ideas?
