I suck at shading and coiled up tails. Its supposed to be a chameleon

the face is strange with those lines. Also I thought it was a shell on his back.

you could use more contrast and change his head to match the 3/4 view of the body.

is there any reason the arms/legs are black, other than to stick out? you could try going with a darker color of his body for that, or perhaps a different color entirely.

perhaps make his eye more round too, for the classic chameleon look, unless that makes him too derpy for you or something.

you could actually make it look more like a chameleon. without any explanation is quite hard to ever figure what it is.

the tail was the only way I could tell what it was.

I couldn't tell there was a tail until I read the post

I thought it looked like a turtle with a deformed head tbh.
