I am sorry you feel that way about me style. The reason I started the whole sprite ripping thing was because I noticed a few games where missing sprite rips. I was already going to rip stuff from Grandia (Got a head start too), Star Ocean 1 and 2, Sega CD Lunar 2, and Thousand Arms after EBC. My goal was to simply get sprites of the main characters of these wonderful games on the Interweb, since repeated searching turns up zilch.Cry The thing is I do not mind if someone gets to it first. Since you seem to have a bigger passion for this game than I do (still going to play through it though), shall I leave the character ripping to you? I'd be happy to give you what I gots so far.Smile
no problem, it's just that RPG Maker/Game Maker users would have problems with incomplete sheets and undetailed infos about the animations.

Thanks, I appreciate it =)

The other games you mentioned:
- Grandia: As far as I know, KleineMaus is currently ripping from this game (characters, portraits)

- Star Ocean 1: Use VSNES 2.91:
Quote:vSNES has no problems with ripple effects, mode 7 and screentone, try it out.

Quick tutorial:

1) open the zsnes savestate:

2) select the scene viewer:
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/5239/50228724.png
3) now you can switch between every single layer and all sprites (you can even enable/disable different sprite fore-/backgrounds like the mentioned arm from your MAM-07 Grabro rip):

I tried to rip from this game, the NPCs are not hard to do, but the battle characters are annoying because there is so much stuff which blocks your way (you can delete this "stuff" with the mentioned Vsnes to get your sight free). All in all it's a short game with different possible characters, it's worth a shot.

- Star Ocean 2: Characters have a weird magnitude which differs from map to map and how much you move. But I can recommend the maps and the regular enemies, they are really easy to rip with PSX-VRAM (one screenshot).

- Thousand Arms: I've heard about this game, but I can't say anything about it.

- Sega CD Lunar 2: Deathbringer ripped already from this game (look on the main site for more), I think he said that the emulators have problems with the correct resolution (distortion).

Another suggestions (SNES):
- Terranigma: NPCs
- Lufia 2: Main party + NPCs
- Lufia: NPCs

And here is a WIP with Hiro and Ruby:

Sounds like a plan. No offense to this game, but I was itching to rip from others as well (I met my goal for sprites in this game long ago...). I will upload what I got from this game for ya (Its alot to say the leastCool )
Since I don't really have the drive to rip every single frame from games, I'll just be a donater of sorts instead of making sprite sheets. Sounds more fun and random anyway.Wink
I have most of these games in one of my boxes in Florida, which I am going home for the holidays. Imma try that PSicture program and see if I get lucky...
Thousand Arms: Searched the Internet for these sprites, but noone has started any Project. So....Wink
Grandia: KleineMaus doesn't seem to have updated in a long while, so...Big Grin
Star Ocean 1: This should be fun to rip from.Wink Played this repeatedly, never beat it once till I played the PSP version.
Star Ocean 2: Gonna have to hope I get lucky with the real discs and PSicture. Otherwise, I'll have to work with battle screen shots, since they freeze in place at a fixed ratio when you bring up the menu. And no words can describe how much I love this game.Shy
Sega CD Lunar 2: No site seems to have the Main Characters ripped, so...Wink
I might go after Lufia 2 Characters, as Lufia 1 and Terranigma already got thier Main Characters ripped.

Here ya go. Think I'll stick to donating.
For Lunar 2, I mostly just tile-ripped everything through savestates and Tile Molester (only because few tile viewers support the 9bpp palette). To elaborate on what Davias said, the emulator I was using (KegaFusion) had resolution settings based on the Sega Genesis (which had a wider video resolution than the Sega CD) and that made using Animget worthless (the shots would be stretched to Genesis proportions, which only affects it on a horizontal basis) unless you wanted to physical fix it in a paint program.

Gens32_Surreal_v1_80_Std seems to take screenshots at regular ratio (the shot is small and there are no deformities in the sprites)

Not sure what I'm doing next, Hiro, Borgan & Meribia are also in the queue but I don't feel like doing them right now::

Don't ask my why it is "10", this room lies between Althena's Road 5 & 6 and I have no idea about the developer's intention.

Lucia refers to it as Althena's Fortress (like in the first game: Althena's Fort), but the save data calls it Althena's Road for some reason.
Remember this one?
Quote:Another WIP, my biggest map ever (3,8 MB):
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/5051/weltkarte.png

It's the complete overworld of Lunar.
Back then, I had no walk through walls cheat and just pieced the map together without knowledge about the map tree. There are three maps in total and each of them is a little bit different from the other one. The big map failed because there was one specific spot (west of Dalton) where you can't piece it 100% properly together.

WIPs, Salyan Desert, Katharina Zone East, Katharina Zone West:

Maps are complete, but I have to delete the char + water. Overworld sprites/animations are getting an own sheet.

WIP, Zophar (1st Form):

http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/825/z...aleffe.png
http://img573.imageshack.us/img573/4730/skullcurse.png
Zophar himself was easy to rip, but his spells are a little bit annoying (gap lazer & especially the skull curse). His third form should be easier to get, but the second one is a nightmare:
(maybe game spoiler)
WIP, Devil Eye:
http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/8784/devileye.png

A very spontaneous rip, at least I finished all his spell animations.
