That's because the 360 market is terrible in japan.
It's currently so bad that their equivalent of gamestop is buying them from people from only 500 yen, which is roughly 5 bucks.

This is microsoft's attempt to reopen the market there, as monster hunter is huge in japan.

And thus they already have this game on the PC...

Pretty much, but its still an interesting video. It just came up on XBL a little bit ago though so I posted it here after I saw it.

These character cross-overs just don't interest me. I mean Killzone 2 guys and Resistance aliens in Uncharted 2 aren't worth paying for.

Yes Gears is a great game, but great characters? No way.

I don't even think they even tried properly in the charater design at all, I mean to me it looks as if they took the lead guy from UT3, changed his wardrobe, and booted him into this game. ("S.S.D.D")

Unreal Tournament 3 came after Gears of War, just sayin'.
