I haven't really been in the mood to do these, but worked a bit on Pikachu I don't like the way he's turning out, any suggestions?
I really like this project so far. One thing: Pikachu looks quite lanky and perhaps needs some shading to fatten him up.
It seems Pikachu has a neck when facing forward and doesn't have one when facing sideways. This makes the character look different from different angles.
I'd try moving the body up one pixel or moving the head down one pixel.
more shading. a pixel higher. thoughts?
I meant to move the body up one.
walk forward for Pikachu. sorry I've fallen off the face of the earth been busy hopefully ill be able to work more on these OnO
Idle side for Pikachu I can really use some advice on these.
Holy Ancient bump batman!
anyways, Pikachu. I hate him. I could use some C+C and I would really appreciate some on Pikachu's tail. the side view tail is giving me problems.
how about this?
by the way, i reworked pikachu's face to a more simpler, readable version.
(by the way, each sprite is already on 13 colors.)
Worked more on the tail and gave Pikachu Metaru's face edit I'm not sure if it works better with or without the nose?
you should stick to the bottom right sprite's tail.
You should widen the whole forward sprite by 1 Pixel, so the nose only has to be 1 pixel in between the eyes. Because right now, it looks like a mouth.
he doesnt need to add a nose at all.

what do you mean? like not have the tail move from that position? or have that be the idle tail stance then animate that moving?

The problem with making him one pixel wider is all the other characters are symmetric and making pikachu one pixel wider would make him look out of place compared to the others wouldn't it?
