+1 to what x0_000 reported, its really annoying.
Also, there is another ad that never loads up, the link shown at the bottom was r1.ace.advertsising.com
We're currently investigating these, and have also decided to look for a new supplier who will be far better suited. We'll keep you updated.
I'd like to recommend Project Wonderful, as they have nice, non-intrusive advertising.
Except their payout is dramatically low.
We're in discussions with a private network, who only handle about 20-25 sites. We'll let you know how it goes.
Another ad report, cause this is bugging the hell out of me.
Don't know if this is happening to other countries, but dating site ads for "40+ singles" and "cougars" are appearing.
There could be more, though i'm not sure.
These are something that I can't even dispute against the advertiser before... Because those are from Google. They're pissing me off too, believe me; we're looking into getting a better ad network.
We have started running with a need ad supplier, on a private contract. You should start seeing ads that don't suck.
Its probably not an add but chrome detect a malware when i try to access "Criticism on my GBC sprites?" by Quirby64. Chrome Msg : "Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on
www.vg-resource.com.
Content from img2.smackjeeves.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss and permanent file deletion. Learn more"
That will be the specific page in question. The person linked to a smackjeeves.com address, something we have no control over. Something that Smack Jeeves need to fix.
Theres a "League of Angel" ad that automatically load another site, pretty annoying. The address was "http://loa.teebik.com/lp_fire_queen_sound.html".
Redirect ads like those are definitely completely unacceptable though and we'll be looking into them regardless of whether or not they're continuing to display. Thanks for the reports!
Hey, I found an ad that could or could not be a serious threat.
Every time my mouse hovered over this ad it redirected the page to some kind of warning that has the option "Take me back!" or something. I don't know if it was a malware or virus alert but it was a bit jarring and I also don't know if anyone else has encountered this before.
BTW: I just realized it probably would have been more helpful to just copy the image link, sorry.
More ad issues. I got redirected to something called "Icloud control panel" a minute ago. Similar to that fake java malware ad.
Immediately, I deleted it out of my browser history just to be on my safe side.
Plus there's a few nitpicks regarding an ad popping at the bottom of the main site pages, and some ads playing video and/or audio.
