Well, lets see.
I found this site by searching around for Izuna sprites for a fan-game I'm trying to make and I sure as hell found them. Much more than I was expecting.
Thanks to Barubary for those.
Also, I'd like to be able to rip sprites from my games. I have my DS, but not sure if I have to have an emulator to rip DS games (or GBA, for that matter).
Any suggestions? If I can get it going, I'll submit whatever I pick up.
I'm not really that good at DS ripping, but I can pint you in the direction of people who can help you. I'll be moving your topic to the "sprite Discussion" forum.
how do so many people miss the "RIPPING QUESTIONS" thread
its pinned
e: oh this wasnt in sd at first
okay
Yeah, I tried looking for it myself, but couldn't find it in any of the threads that sounded like they might have it.
Yes, you will need roms and emulators
Which DS games do you want to rip?
Some can be ripped with Tahaxan and TileGGD but others have compressed sprites and have to be ripped using Animget.
I want to rip Disgaea, Yggdra Union, Knights in the Nightmare, and some others that I can't quite remember at this time.
I think 3d sprites would be a bit difficult considering I'm just starting out and I'd like to keep it simple until I get the hang of it. Besides, I'm mostly interested in 2d sprites anyway.
Hmmm...
It seems that Disgaea and Knights in the Nightmare have compressed graphics
You could ask Random Talking Bush how to rip from Disgaea(he was able to extract the sprites)
Yggdra Union, However can be viewed in Tile Molester
http://sdb.drshnaps.com/downloads.php
You will need PAL files from Visual Boy Advance to have the right palettes

I really appreciate the help. I'll submit everything I can pick up, but today... Seems I did the one thing I always try to never do... I left the house without my flashdrive, so I won't be able to DL any of those files until tomorrow.
Also, I have VBA 1.7 & 1.8. Where can I get PAL files for it? Or is that something I have to look into myself?

Tools>Palette viewer>Save Obj
You have to save the PAL file when you see atleast one sprite of what you want to rip
