it's obviously part 2 aka shippuden era
(shippuden no joke is pretty gay too with its godlike entity characters i.e. pain and danzo)
however be relieved, the series is almost over being that naruto and sasuke are fighting face-to-face again for the first time since part 1 and both of them [as well as the shippuden team 7: sakura and kakashi] are fighting with the intent to kill at this point

where the hell do they even go if naruto kill's sasuke (he probably wont)

naruto would become the hero of konoha (again) and become hokage since danzo's dead and tsunade's ill. and then, the series would end!
however i've got this bad feeling kishimoto's gonna be ~artistic~ and just have naruto and sasuke both kill each other in the end at the same time and then everyone cries and shit but naruto becomes a hero so he gets something cool like a statue or his head in hokage mountain or a ramen shop named after him
I'm going to bed this somehow gets extended beyond Sasuke's death, even if it's a side story or under a different author.
