OK, so here's a summary of the game. Midi is a squirrel from the planet Kyroda who has the power to spontaneously generate acorn bombs in his hands (or paws if you'd rather call them that). While on vacation one day at an old flooded ruin, he is suddenly attacked by a band of penguin pirates from another world who've come to plunder his. Naturally he won't stand for this, and sets off to stop them.

In the middle of the ruin, he finds a teleport room that he uses to chase the penguins around the world. Like in Megaman, you can chose different areas in any order and get a new bomb element from each area's reigning general. After defeating them, you go against Emperor Pendragon, leader of the pirates.

You can attack by throwing or dropping bombs, and can also use a wall kick to climb up shafts and curl in a ball like Samus to get through small spaces.

So far only the intro level is available in the demo, but the game should be finished sometime in the summer.

This is the character I derive my username from, if anyone is wondering.
the main problem i have with it is the badly rotated sprites.
So it's essentially a Megaman clone?

Well actually it's inspired by Jazz Jackrabbit, but yeah, I guess it has a bunch of similarities to Megaman. But that's only for this game. Second one will be way different.
why not just uh
make the first one good instead of going "the first one will be a clone of megaman, then i'll actually TRY for the second"
Practice I guess.
What are you using to make this?
I'm using Game Maker 7.

The ice level is completed, and I'm now working on the sky level. Also redoing the training level because of some changes to the controls and stuff.
