I'm in agreement here on the overated part. I loved Wind Waker, I really did, it was a fresh take on the Zelda games, and it had some fantastic boss battles. But people have hyped the shit out of it far to much. Majora's Mask is still the best and that's fact.

I'm with G-Man on this.

WW is a GREAT game (all the zeldas are)
but relatively speaking, WW is insanely overhyped.

WW is the upside-down version of MM

i agree that wind waker is overrated but honestly its my favourte of the series.

my only real problem with it is it created a horrible offspring where all the games need tobe kiddy and shit. fuck phantom hourglass and fuck the toon art style.

i want my real zeldas back

Think we will ever see another top down 2D tile based zelda game like MC or OOA/S?

I never played Wind Waker, but I DID fight the last boss, since my friend had a save file that I made him load because I wanted to fight him. That was pretty epic.

i bet that since now they are capable of making 3D titles for their current handheld they will just drop the top down thing all together. which is a shame because the top down games were among some of the best in the franchise (Much better than PH and ST which never fail to make me hate them no matter how much i want to like them (And i really do) But it will never happen because, i don't know.. they dont have that zelda feel.

But if we really are never again to see a top down zelda game then the least they can do is release the third oracle game that they never released because apparently the average person couldnt handle a password system between 3 games so they dumbed it down to 2.

...technically PH and ST are topdown games, but I see where you're coming from.

Like I said, button controls needed.

The touch controls work really good with PH and ST. You wouldn't have been able to control the boomerang like you did without them.

But yeah why is every Zelda topic a debate over what's the best and what sucks? Seriously, every topic!
