I did that.
Was hard but i ended up killing him using mostly yawn and fly

Mamoswine could be useful or that red Gyarados you found at Lake of Rage and level it up.
I recommend giving ice moves to Pokemon who can also learn some decent water moves, because it will also help against others in Lance's lineup. However, watch out when using a full-blown water type, because several of Lance's pokemon like to use some electric moves.
No time to really make any changes to my team or movesets because I'm literally standing right in front of him. I'll just have to grind through him.
I wish my Quagsire new some kind of ice type move..

The only ice type TM I have is Avalanche and none of my Pokemon can learn it.

I easily took his Gyarados out with Raichu, used various Pokemon against his 3 Dragonites, but all of them I ended up KOing by exploding my Golem, and I took out his Aerodactyl with a combination of Victreebel and Quagsire. When I got to his Charizard I only had my half health Quagsire left, and he used air slash and left my with 1 HP. After I recovered from heart attack I healed Quagsire and killed Lance. That was really close battle, good game Lance may you rest in peace
