not to mention all the cogs that got killed in the mid-action stuff
what I'm liking about this is how there's a third threat to all of this
I can't wait to see what this new enemy is :>
It'll be fun fighting them as they're fighting the Locusts~
itt I predict gears 3 story
the cogs and locusts team up to take down the new threat and after winning, they learn to live peacefully as they share the same planet.
heehee
the story is that ALL DAT JUICE is overflowing after they dropped jacinto into that giant pit, and its affecting both humans and the locust horde, creating a new threat called the lambents, think of the third chapter in gears 1 where you fought the small exploding guys and apply it to every monster in this game
e: copy paste from the thread on SA
Quote:The campaign is confirmed to be 4-player Co-Op
The campaign's story will be written by Karen Traviss, the author of the Gears of War book series.
The location in the trailer is nicknamed "Char", where the remains of victims from the Hammer of Dawn strikes are heavily present. Also, imulsion is infecting everything, not just the Locust. The Lambent are a ton of different nightmarish creatures.
Cliff has stated you'll be able to play as all of Delta Squad, including Baird and Cole, in the campaign. What's more interesting is he says the story will shift, putting you in control of other squads as well that don't include the main 4. I speculate this will include Anya and a new Carmine brother, but I wouldn't put it past them to go down the road of making you play as Locusts.
I'll keep this OP updated as new info comes along. Your best bet for quick info would be http://twitter.com/therealcliffyb as he says things about Gears 3 faster than anyone can publish.

neither have i, i completely forgot the plot of both games until i looked them up
i kinda wanna play gears 2's horde mode again though :l
so gears is actually a very well hidden "protect the environment" ad
back to the girl soldier
how come I have an odd speculation that she could actually be another carmine?
that
is a good theory
but i doubt it
I thought they said in the 2nd game that there were 4 carmine brothers
obviously two are dead and there with be a 3rd in the 3rd game
possible gears 4/ spinoff incoming??????????????

true, but that doesn't completely deny the possibility of a carmine sister. Though you are probably right.
oh hey look at that edit

that's fucking /awesome/
you know
I've been thinking about getting the books on Gears and reading up on the events between the games and during the Pendulum Wars
Is there anyone who actually read these who can tell me if they're worth buying or not?
i can safely tell you right now that no video game book adaptation is worth reading in a million years and if you don't believe me, go find excerpts from the Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes novelization
