:L
EDIT: Ah I see,
I'm not being sarcastic, by the way. It's literally not a big deal if it's only for one game. If it gets to the point where 80% of the game's catalog requires this device, then it'll be a bad thing.
Boktai came with its extra device. And it was... pretty much only used for Boktai!
Despite how shafted I feel by the fact I KNEW they were going to pull something like this and I STILL ended up buying the game anyway... I can't help but want to get this game. I REALLY wish I could get some sort of trade-in value towards the new one by giving back the old one, but I know that'll be virtually impossible given that I'd be trying to return something obsolete for something far better.

Had a dream that Howard the Duck became DLC.
iron fist looked pretty cool from the trailer but I wasn't too sure about him, but he seems awesome now that seth killian gave the breakdown
I love that he has a high/low rekka and he seems pretty cool, I'd probaly put him 3rd place on my hype meter (dr. strange is #1 and firebrand is #2)
hypetrain chooin for firebrand and vergil

Maximillian and Ken Adams also put their take on Iron Fist and Vergil.
Am I the only one who feels like UMvC3 may as well be more of a sequel and not just an update, with all of the new stuff they're putting in the game? I wasn't expecting a lot from many of the new characters but every single time a new character is announced they blow me away. Capcom really seems to be going all-out with the new characters and their playstyles. Iron Fist, for example, is
completely original-looking in every single way.

nah, the basic gameplay systems in place are essentially the same, x-factor's gonna be a bit weaker and can be done in the air but it looks like at the very least it'll still be A Thing at level 3 and damage is overall really high and there's the whole hitstun decay thing that wasn't in like, mvc2 and others
I can see where you're coming from but it isn't really grounds to call it a sequel, it's just a cool as heck expansion
besides, usually expansions change gameplay mechanics anyway (SF4 has probably had the least changes so far for a capcom game); EX moves weren't even in SF3: New Generation, for example

edit: i'm really excited for strider, hawkeye, vergil, and iron fist btw
i can't see myself changing up my main team outside of replacing tron and so far all of those characters look like great candidates
thank god i wasnt the only one who saw that dragon kick
