heh, I think it was quiet obvious that all the cartoons above the 90s sucked no matter what.
Chowder, Flapjack, and Adventure time is boring as shit. I only get a few chuckles from watching Flapjack, and the only real reason why I watch it is because I dig the art style. Same goes with Chowder, but not for adventure time.
The people that made those cartoons, make it seem like they try to push comedy into the show when its down right not funny at all and just annoying.

Honestly those 3 shows you listed that you find boring as shit is better then Johnny Test in all aspects.

LET ME RANT ABOUT CARTOONS. (also serious post in spamhaul)

The thing wrong with a lot of cartoons now is that they're ripping off the geometric style that was pretty big a long time ago (and had a bit of a renaissance with Genddy Tartakovsky, who is a fucking boss) without actually understanding where those styles have come from.
Which leads to lazy construction and bland, awkward looking characters.

There's also a lot of lazy animation using an over-reliance on tweening.

Sometimes it can work out; Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends has a lot of tweening, and I bet unless you were really looking for it you probably didn't notice it as much as you do in Jonny Test. Because in Foster's it's done subtly and there's still a lot of frame-by-frame stuff, lots of secondary motion, and the characters still have, y'know, character, rather than feeling like mannequins.

Here is a really awesome video that has a lot of tweening but it still works, because the motion tweens are a tool rather than a crutch. THIS IS HOW TWEENING SHOULD BE USED (also the song is pretty nice).

I pretty much gave up watching cartoons, the new ones are pretty much not funny for my tastes.
Uh...Well...Coming from a person who's only watching crime series lately... But currently the overall quality went downside, from the animation to the jokes. I sure miss the old cartoons, but some of them got expiration date if you know what I mean.

Chowder, Flapjack, all those are pretty boring, they only know how to do the "gross" jokes, and those aren't funny. Lately, only Drama Island and it's sequels are any fun

idk i watched 2 or 3 episodes of invader zim kinda recently and the show seemed like it sucked tbh the teacher character was kind of funny-ish iirc?? but that's about it, also gir is REALLY unfunny
