What? No!

I say Goof Troop on the SNES. Damn I loved that game. Accidentally kicking a block at your friend and thus having to leave and re-enter the screen to do the puzzle again or constantly switching items so the "Ta-Dah" tune kept playing and freezing the screen for a bit until the other person gave you death eyes. Good times.

Holy shit I thought I felt stupid when I forgot sonson, how in gods name could I have possibley porgotten Goof Troop. Very Sad It was the four swords of the SNES except it's better than four swords.
So I uh, write for my uni's newspaper. And review videogames.

The first 3 issues were under an Editor so I got no say in layout, but now I'm the games Editor! Because it's good to archive the work you do, I saved .jpg exports of the pages I've done. I'm slowly getting better!

Issue 204: Torchlight Review and Interview with Indie Developer Tyvon
(It's my first ever professional publication, so this one's special to me. Heart)

Issue 205: Ace Attourney Investigations Review, Co-Op games Feature, and Horror-Games article by some other guy.
(This format and colourscheme I like the most so far. It was hard getting everything to fit...)

Issue 206: Pokémon HGSS Review, Audiosurf Vs. Beat Hazard Feature
(Just finished this one todaty, so it's still needs proofing. This shouldn't be out yet! SHHHHHHHHH)

So what do you guys think? Any suggestions for further features?
No suggestions just yet, let me read the others and I'll edit with some. However the Tyvon interview impressed me and now I'm in a good mood Cute.
Very nice articles, and I just bought Mecho Wars, thanks for the articles once again. :>
Nathan you really have a nack for this Smile
Fantastic stuff, man. I can really see you getting further into game journalism, and am enjoying this stuff. Be sure to update this for new writings, I'd like to read more of your reviews/articles.
First of all, congratulations. I'd love if i had the opportunity to do something similar to this.
I only read the 1st one and the 3rd one but i must say, i think the first one was written better than the third.
Not that the third was bad. They were both very good, but the first was better.
Also, i don't think you really made it clear to idiots that the audio games are tailored so that the levels change with the different songs you're playing. I wouldn't know how to word it either but if I didn't already know what Audiosurf was i may have been mistaken to think that the games just play your music collections in the background (kinda like the xbox does) rather than that they react to the song you're playing and change accordingly to the beat etc.
Maybe that's just me Tongue i should probably read them again.

The two i read were really good though, i hope you enjoy doing this because i know i certainly would Big Grin
Heh, well this is why the 3rd one is still under post-prod, I have time to make changes. I'll bear that in mind.
so i was reading the first one and my brother walked in the room
he looked at it and said "who'd want to interview tyvon?" and walked off

o_O
your brother sucks

I found the articles pretty entertaining. They were well done, nice to read, and overall pretty impressive. I don't really have any criticism to give, so I'll just say 'great job'. :]

I HAVE HATERS

I AM FINALLY FAMOUS
Vipershark your brother made me laugh.
And I thought Tyvon was already famous

Issue 205 was awesome, you even talked a little bit about Monkey Island. Did you guys knew in Japan the prosecutors do exactly what you see on Ace Attorney Investigations? They work with the police to solve the case, working together with the detectives.
The only downside (IMO) is the guy who wrote the survivor horror stuff forgot to mention Alone in the Dark. Released before Resident Evil, it was the true "blueprint" of the original series.

Didn't read the last one, I really don't care about Pokemon. However if you pay me I can have one of my dogs take a walk wearing your pokewalker XP

what

Anyway, you're very good. Like PortalGuru said, I could see you writing journalism later on!
A polite bump to say that now all my Games Journalism posts have been merged into one jumbo thread. Read first post for more details.
