As I already said, they look ugly. I would also complain about the really ugly colors, but since you said that you would change them, I'll stick to the ugly shading, ugly shape, ugly etc.
Compared with the other sprites, the ball looks like a piece of paper cutout.

Whats wrong with the shape?

Its a circle, there isnt much to work with.

And its not really shading, its just like the color growing room within, changing the color with a smoother animation, rather than just blinking.

Why do you ask for other people's opinions if you always end up making excuses to bat them away?

Thanks Rhymey, for the .gif, but i can see how the black piece makes it look bad.

Could someone by chance animate the alternate one, (with the color where the black is?)

use some of your brain to discover why they're bad, and try improving from there

If someone says it's bad, it's because probably there's something wrong with it, so it's already a criticism. Sure, it's easier if you get some more details about it, but just because he only said that doesn't mean it's 'no good'.

I told him the ball was ugly looking, a post later I explained in detail why did I said the ball was ugly, but either Iceman didn't saw it or he just ignored it to have an excuse to post something here.
Also, during the ball animation some colors are hard to tell apart, especially the red before the yellow cycle.

we all know he cant see past the inflation ball he has on
