Went on a downloading spree and found this god awfully hard game (doesn't seem hard until you find yourself falling on spikes or getting nailed by enemies which are way too small or just run into you constantly). It had some nice graphics for an NES game.
And yes, this is the original version of the NES game Whomp'Em.
