DX is a remake/port of 1.

That's why I said chronologically speaking. DX came out after SA2B.

Including Werehog and Chip.

Sonic Colors looks to be interesting, though I'd have to see actual gameplay footage first. E3 2010 could provide just that.

Wow this topic has grown fast. Must say, seem like more people are truly not caring about sonic than before. Normally a lot more people are defending the little blue guy than this.

Sega really has just lost it, I mean making games which aren't for the fans? Seems mighty odd. Are they simply accepting that they can't make a good Sonic game any more and thus simply abandoning the fan-base? Sega should just get Capcom or Treasure or somebody to make a Sonic reboot for them and then just make sequels to it.
