but remember, sonic has little colorful FRIENDS to rely on! something that could potentially be the signature gamewrecker!!
iirc using the wisp is totally optional. you can just run straight through.
oh
so the wisps are not so much a gamewrecker as they are Sega's "here let me help you" item?
nice. B)
the theme song is like owl city on motherfucking crack
Just incase no one was watching this.
Yeah....uhhhhhh I dunno Sega seems to have stepped it's game back to the basics. The words "Sonic Adventure 3/Sonic Colors" keep pumping in my head like a tumor. All they need is a Chao system and this would sell like hotcake.

this is true. i would buy a sonic game if it brought back chao garden.
sonic colors is arguably more retro than sonic 4
and legitimately much better so far

Honestly it looks pretty much just like Unleashed to me.
But I liked Unleashed, so there are no problems here.

it is very similar, but:
Boost is not given by just "advancing through the level" as it was in Unleashed, which was one of my biggest problems with the game design. The level would throw you rings constantly independent of how good you're going through it so that you ALWAYS have boost, FOREVER. Sonic Rush was more skill-based (destroying enemies in a row and doing tricks), and Sonic Rush Adventure even more (do a lot of tricks, but have timing so that you can do a long trick combo and be able to "finalize" it). In Sonic Colors, you gain Boost by getting those aliens - either by defeating enemies or destroying capsules.
It also has a very nice twist with the drill and the laser powerups, and thanks to the drill powerup, there are a lot of parts with exploration added to it, it's not just about running really fast as it was in unleashed and has some exploration very similar to the classics, specially Sonic 3 & Knuckles that is more exploration-orientated.
I'm so glad they aren't going with realism or genericness on this one like they did on the past Sonic games, most notably Unleashed for its realism (even though Unleashed did it beautifully and almost not generic at all). They managed to do some very original and surreal landscapes, and I like it a lot. (Most notably the futuristic theme park tropical carnival extravaganza stage. In space. What.)
Plus, it has no Werehog dragging the pacing down! I don't know about the PS3/360 versions, but the Werehog stages on the PS2/Wii versions were boring as fuck, save for a couple of levels that were actually fun.
Also, did someone post the video that shows up the stage results screen? The results screen is awesome.
Are Sonic Colors on the DS and the Wii going to be the same game?
this looks like the levels from unleashed that arent gay generic werewolf fighters.
i didnt even have sonic unleashed but i donwloaded the demo which was one of the non werewolf levels in the game and i played the demo a hell of a lot constantly trying to beat my old time and my friends were also trying to beat it.
those levels were awesome. it's a shame the game was ruined by all the werewolf shit.
this looks very good im atually very excite

No, and that's something of a silly question. The DS version will be championed by Dimps, and in Sonic Rush-style.
