Ok, i have been working on my first indie game and have gotten to a proper proof of concept and beta. The only problem is, is that my art guy has quit leaving me with no sprites, backgrounds or any art at all. I am using XNA to code it and what i need are people who would be interested in doing sprite sheets, backgrounds, menus, box art, to tell you the truth, all art related things.
To give you a feel for the game, we have a panda as a main character who fights with swords and at one point i wouldn't mind a rail-gun. he goes through levels varying from ancient rain forest to jumping from building to building in a large city killing evil bear assassins who are attempting to kill endangered species.
PM or email me if you would be interested in helping do the art for any of the games areas, people of all expertise are needed and welcome.
Thank you very much for your time and effort.

My 404 makes me original.
It's a coincidence, i have never met iceman404, come on guys i really need to sort out how im getting this art.
Any help will be appreciated. thank you
this should probably be in requests because you painted yourself out as incapable of doing any of the art
so you're essentially literally just demanding that we make it for you
i wouldn't say demanding you do it, i would more say hiring considering i would be willing to share a cut of the profits. I'm planning on putting this game out on the indie market for the Xbox 360. I do not pretend to be an artist, i can offer direction and a vision for the end product but i have no artistic skill. so yes i am asking for it all to be done, but I'm not stupid, i would pay whoever did it a cut of the ending profits. the amount can be slightly negotiable, and can be discussed with whomever would like to take this on. But will mostly be based off of quality and amount of work, in this respect i need a lot of both.
Thank you very much.
You should make a topic in sprite requests. You'll get more responses that way.
Or just move it.
COME ON TON. STEP UP YA MOD GAME.
Oh. I misread this as the Games Development board, so I was going to leave it. Anyway...

i'm going to say it here and now, for anyone ever considering taking spriting/pixel art as a career, either as a hobby, or as a freelance/fullttime job, or anyone who considers himself smart:
never, ever, accept this 'you'll get a cut of the profits' as /payment/.
never.
have i done something to piss someone off? i mean no one has had anything good to say.
sure, the cut of the profits sounds risky but i cant promise money to an artist if i dont have any money so the best i can offer is a percentage of the games profits. if you actually cared to know what your talking about instead of just spouting your mouth off you would know more. When you post a game to be put on the Xbox, its revenue is public access. The spriter in question would be able to check on how much money the game has made, and since im not inclined to get sued, the team of people working on this will all agree to a form of contract so that everyone understands whats going on. Money is a horrible subject that can only turn people against each other and so i want to make it go as smoothly as possible.

ahaha its funny because
most of the people involved in this thread other than you have been in the indie game development much longer than you
so they do in fact know what they're talking about
get it
