the bear has a bow and arrow?? =] kewl. can he use his claws too tho? and when will more sprites be released?
It looks good. One thing I noticed: There is no dry beach. The first entire tile row of beach (bot counting the drit to beach transitional row) is already partially under water.
@ Thorn: I've just sprited a new monster, Tawrus. It's a large, purple quadruped with giant tusks and metal disc-shaped feet.
I'm working on it's parent/larger version Tawrath.
@Yoder: There is no dry beach because it's just a tile test.
could you post tawrus, maybe?/ i like this style a lot. =]
EDIT: want to see more, that is..
Remember, it's WIP.
isnt it a tad bit too small? i mean, compared to the teddy bear, its close in size. (i like the spike type things on its back =D)
Tad bit small? I'd imagine that the enemy would be large. It may be short (1/2 as tall as the bear) but it's like three times longer.
If we pretend you were the size of the bear, then that enemy would be pretty large.
Anyway, the Tawrath will be twice as large as the Tawrus, so go figure.
lol. actually, since im thinking about it, the enemy would be the same size as teddy, cuz bears are large.
The grass tileset up at the top I think I recognize from a sprite tutorial.
Eh? The grass is ripped from SD3 I believe. It's a temporary placeholder, sorry I forgot to mention that. <_<;
EDIT: Because of the way I sprited my character's perspectives, I think I should turn this into a platform game. I'm going to have to waste that fancy animated water tileset though...
The dinosaur reminds me a lot of the dinosaur from Namco X Capcom :\
Pose reference.
Nice eye.
Tawrath and Tawrus mockup:
whoa, hows teddy gonna kill those big tawr-majiggs??
I think the teddy bear should be a little lighter, and it should look more "cuddly" lookin. and you shouldn't make the details so visible.
