What do you mean nothing at all :?

What he means that is hardly easy to see the changes.

is that the recolors and what not you made literally had no impact AT ALL on how the sprites were originally.
and by that i mean really, recolors are fucking bad no matter how much you try to make them sound good.

Nothing was recoloured, but reshaded using the same base colours + extra shades. No point spriting with limmits. They are only supposed to look revamped and slightly different. I will do some full edits later making new enemies.

dont do edits, or recolors. they're extremely lame and there is no effort at all one making them.

Edits and recolors are general things. It really depends how much editing there is as to how good something is and how well the pallet looks.

still, it's very simple considering you can do better things.

Reshading is the exact same thing as recoloring, even if you use your own colors its still the same.

actually i'm gonna agree with blazefire here
you guys are lumping two different things into one category
a recolor is when you change the colors on the sprite without changing the shading whatsoever. It's literally the same exact sprite, just with different colors.
A reshade is when you use the same lineart, but completely redo the shading and coloring inside of it.
going by metaru's definition, this entire thread is just made up of recolors (that take no effort and are literally the worst form of spriting, etc)

its all the same. when ones take no effort at all, the others take the same skill as doing something completely new from scratch so its completely redundant and most of the time they work over something that didn't need to be fixed, as if it was some sort of diaper.

so answer me this: taking the sprite down to its lineart and redoing all the colors and shading from scratch counts as "takes no effort at all"?
in other words, everything in this thread below took absolutely no effort and counts as the lowest form of spriting?

if you seriously believe that then you're retarded
i'm completely serious
added for content:
that would make things like HD sprites count as "literally no effort" as well considering how it's the same lineart,u upscaled

what me and tyvon were doing there "took no effort", amirite
