Planning to do a full mockup and MAYBE some animations, but I wanna fix some problems with this one first.
Mainly the legs (they look awkward and I don't know how to fix them :>) and shading in general

No, but Adventure Island remake is mandatory.

I have never played/heard/seen what ever Adventure Island is but those sprites are hot and are kinda making me want to know more of whatever Adventure Island is.

Adventure Island actually did have a remake, as far as I know, it wasn't released outside of Japan:
