If you're not going to make his shirt shorter, t the very least make his arms and legs longer because he's really disproportionate as he is.

Oh, so it's the shirt. In that case let me fix it.
The change is not so noticeable but I made it smaller. Hopefully that fix that problem.

Whats with people giving link gravity defying caps? And those feet look odd because there a pixel thin. Give him feet to stand on.

Actually for the feet, that's part of my style. If you look at some of my drawings, you'll see that the legs come downward to the floor as small bulky triangles and end in a line.I tough his hat was a little gravitationally correct seeing as it bends downward but from what you say I may be doing it wrong, could you illustrate how to fix the hat?

link's hat never made sense anyway.

he still appears to be too fat
his body should be more rectangular-ish, and not the triangle-ish shape it currently is.
In other words, his legs should be closer together and his shirt shouldn't be so huge

We all have to agree with Metaru on this one. Feet closer together and smaller shirt, got it.
#EDIT#
Smaller shirt + I messed around with his leg, resulting in a somewhat better stance when looking at his feet.

if you're going for the triangle kind of thing, you need to make it all flow together. currently the body looks barely triangular and the legs don't fit into it at all. it should have more of an exaggerated, dynamic look. i did a sketch because i didn't feel like explaining further

hey mabelma it might be a good idea to actually pay attention to the advice given
i know you're trying and that you keep redoing your sprite but
i mean /really/ pay attention to them
dont just go "oh hey i'll redo this i guess they told me to"

Thanks for the sketch Fish In Space but for some reason, Im liking how this one is coming out so if you don't mind. I'll keep this one for now. I tought I was taking the advice well 1up could you explain a little what you mean?

i think he means that each time you redraw it it looks exactly the same
which it really does btw
which it really does btw

Actually, that's because I'm just tweaking minor stuff, like the shirt and the legs and you need to compare them together closely to see the change but trust me, it's there.

He still looks kinda wide, you should draw a curve-ish thing from his shoulder and give him a back.
His nose is also a bit too linear, and his hat isn't all the way on his head good. See how it starts
a few pixels too far back? Try to move the top of the hat to the right a bit.

Ok, I'll fix the hat an the back but on the lastest lineart, you can't see the nose so I don't know which one you are talking about.
