I like the shading style so far! But I think the pallete for it is a bit too dark.
The shading seems fine to me, and the colors are too dark for the contrast with the skin.
not really anything new here, just fixed the hair palette
YONK!! why do you mirror the sprite?
Sometimes when you're spriting / drawing you get so used to the way it looks one way that you notice mirrored it looks like shit. Keeping it mirrored throughout the process give you a better look at how your own art is turning otu over all.
I have no idea what that is but I like it.

I never thought of flipping sprites like that to solve that purpose...
I'm gonna have to try that from now on. <.<
Now onto the sprite. I always did like the style you have. It's unique. The colors and everything just look great and I like how youre putting attention to the detail of the hair. Can't wait to see how it all comes out. The only problem I have is the nose...I guess it bothers me cause it's not as blended in as everything else.
Excellent work so far, I'm enjoying the overall style.

Butch is basically correct, however, flipping the canvas allows the artist to visually see if the piece is balanced in color or position. Correct me if I'm wrong?
