the hair is fine, what bugs me is where are the ears actually place in her head.

unless you're planning to draw over the hair later and connect them to the head, they're just poping out from nowhere.

The 'top' of the hair, and the curved bands of shading where is connects to the part of the hair in shadow? I think it should extend a bit further, and be less regular.

I don't exactly understand the hair though... that place Grooveman pointed out is filled of random blobs, making it look like she has a hole in that part of the hair.

I can't explain it well so I did a quick edit to show what I mean (small square is original)

i'd go ahead and repeat the exact same thing i said on that one hat-nightmare thread thing.

simplify the hair, you're getting frustrated because you just want it to look even more complicated than it should. as gorsal mentioned, you don't even need so many random blobs of hair. mean, look at how rokkan shades hair on his furries.
