The second jagged, and the saturation images don't work for me. However, the sprite rip image works for me as well, but not the text link that says "check this out."

Important Question:
How do you line up numbers of
pngs without antialiasing them?

In detail when im using my favorite
graphics editor MS Picture-It to place
PNGs on a new background normally
the pixelation changes drastically.

I just found this great utility for making good palettes. You can adjust it by the number of colors in a palette, the base color, the amount of hue shifting, and the saturation: Color Ramp Creator (click meeeeee)

Gonna note a few things here since this is a really damn useful resource for me both now and for future reference.
A.) New term: palette. This is the general term used to reference the colors in an image. There's usually at least one "transparent color" in a palette. Here's an example:
Each pixel in an image is colored according to the palette entry that you, as a spriter, have assigned to it.
B.) The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive actually isn't 8-bit. It's 16-bit. But meh, that's just a tiny nitpick of mine about a small detail that doesn't really change anything in the long run
And now for the obligatory recommendation of not using MS Paint, as it usually won't help you that much. Instead, use a more advanced art & graphics editor, such as Graphics Gale (Clicky!). It's got more features and will ultimately allow you to get even the largest spriting jobs done.

Not exactly.
Most of us here use Paint, actually.
I still rock XP Paint daily, though a lot of us here use GraphicsGale as well. I have it for when I need to make gifs from sprites or images with transparency, but as far as basic image editing or spriting, Paint is my go-to option.
For most pixelart related needs, Paint does the job perfectly fine.

The "CLUSTER" image is broken. :<

Oh right, it is... that's my fault. When I left back then, I cleaned out my desk, as in, purged whole albums from my imgur account. Should've just removed that one instead of deleting it... though even then I think imgur deletes mages not assigned to any account after a while.
Unfortunately, I don't have the file here anymore. It wasn't a good example anyways if you ask me (the one who made it in the first place, yes).
Here's the one I'm using in the spriting dictionary on my website:
It highlights parts that may be seen as a cluster one by one. That may or may not be accurate to what other people may understand by the term "pixel cluster".
So if you guys want to, you can grab that one. The dict I put up was originally intended for this place anyways, there just was no interest. It has a few more terms, too (for example, palettes are covered as well as subpixeling). Well, not my deal ^^"

Some images are broken!

This is amazing. I wish that this would become an online school (for free of course since some of us who want to the most are broke) and teach on what we want to learn. We have that mostly put in right here, it just needs a specialised app or program for it on this site. Ive been using the pixel studio app to try to make just small gifs, but it does wonders, and if I put this new knowledge in to it- I would just be Red Stoned.
