Also for those you like anime and manga.
Go read Parasyte and hellsing
Go watch Hellsing Ultimate.
Also I'm glad that FMA brotherhood ended when it did and how it did. It does not need to be as gay as bleach or naruto and just be in an animu dick contest over who can have the longer series because obviously the ammount of mangas you have the bigger the author's weeaboo penis is.

"anime" and "manga" are the actual names, straight out of japan
that wasn't made up by americans or whatever

Viper, I have something new I want to show you today. It's called "translating". You see, when there's a word that corresponds to what it's meant in other language, one uses said word.
For an example. Japanese people grab Marvel's Spiderman Comics, and don't call them SPIDAAMAN KOMIKUSU. They call it manga, because manga is japanese for comic books. Be it from Japan, America or Europe, it's all manga for the Japanese.
Anime is a contraption of Animeshon, Animation. For a japanese, the PowerPuff Girls are as much anime as Dragon Ball Z as Ren & Stimpy.
To sum it all up, what you said was plain idiotic and relates to what Rokkan was saying- weeaboo americans refusing to use perfectly fine english because japanese sounds cooler and superior.
the sole idea of ren & stimpy being anime gave me a pair of erected niples.

Also, read Bakuman. Always read Bakuman.
Sure, it's a long manga, but the subject is something new and different. More like a "realistic fiction" manga, and I like it for that.
it's not an entirely new concept but it does it pretty well
except for the love story oh god. what crap.

Then you will love Parasyte. Although it is kinda more Realistic Science Fiction but it is done rather tastefully and not like the cheesy movies on the sci-fy channel

yes but the Americans limited both terms into Japanese cartoon/comics.
so are we gonna continue the GL thread or what?
Anyone see Parallel Works 2?
i made a great post last night but stupid tSR kept on going offline when I was going to post it so I'll try to remember and rewrite it the best I can
I know they mean "animation" and "comic book" in japanese, but they were still used so that it can sound superior to other comic books. It's like you love french comic books so much that you start referring to them as "bande dessinée" just so that you need to make everyone else call them differently because of some pretentious feeling that you have that french comic books are entirely different than american comic books.
another example: indie games. You ask a person "What is Cave Story?" they'll reply with "It's an indie game about...", "indie" itself isn't a term to indicate superiority or anything, but it's slowly starting to become one thanks to some pretentious assholes in the indenpendent gaming development scene.
I remember I saw one or two of the parallel works but i don't remember what numbers they were

There's the first 8, I'm talking about the second 7 that was recently released.
I'm going to have to do some justice later on because GL fans on tsr dont know even half the shit they're missing.
ive seen all of the parallell works
