Pinsir for bug/ground or bug/dark evolution.
Bug/Ground would be pretty fun, although it would make it weak to fire AND water. Bug/Dark reminds me of Draip-... Dra.. Draipoipoipoporon or whatever that evo is. MAINLY just because that's what I thought it was when I first saw one.. Boy was I pissed when Fire wasn't super effective, and when psychic attacks were totally worthless. Damn Poison/Dark, I hate you!
Wouldn't the ground make him strong against fire?
nope
ground takes nuetral damage from fire
Yeah the whole Rock Ground thing gets confusing since they are so similar. You forget what beats what.

Just because the pokemon are similar doesn't mean that they are counterparts. There is more to being a counterpart then a lot of shared moves.

which is why duskull and shuppet were not counterparts, just ghosts pokemon placed together in the same spot in the hoenn dex/national# since rse had little ghost types.

Well well, this is interesting. You know that "dee doo dee doo dee doo" that plays nonstop when your pokemon's health is in the red? That sound that makes your ears bleed? Yeah well it seems that it's not in B&W.

Instead you get an alternate battle them that uses the dee doo as a base in an interesting way. This game seriously keeps getting better and better.
Oh god, dynamic battle music?

This really IS the 21st century Pokémon game! I personally find this minor development awesome news. Now lets hope there's a 'winning' variation on every battle theme and we're good to go.
Edit: The rival battle theme is fucking great. Although the soundchip combinations are exactly the same as DPPt, which is a bit of a shame; considering HGSS switched things up a little.
the amoeba pokemon had a gender?

and yeah I agree with grooveman on this one, pokemon is starting to become much more modern in black and white compared with it's predecessors.
NO BEEPING? BEST GAME EVERRRRRRRRR.
I thought I heard some beeping in it, not as much as it was though.

could make it less annoying at least.
I know that after I get this game I'm gonna spend such a long time just looking at the battle animations.

Oh, you did indeed hear beeping. However, it's actually apart of the music and not thrown on top of the normal battle theme like in previous games.

Something else that is interesting... well... 2 somethings. I don't think anyone has mentioned them yet.

1. You know that pokemon with the dream smoke that activates dream mode when you own it? In it's battle, it seems to have it's own theme. One may assume that it may be a trainer battle, but even if that was the case, I doubt the theme would be like the one heard in the video (very psychic fitting). This leads me to believe that there may be different wild battle themes (as in, stronger pokemon of various types get theme A, these pokemon get theme B, ext).

2. After your first rival battle in your room with Belle, the room is torn up.

As much as it's a cool possibility, I doubt this is the chase of the game.

Considering the circumstances, I'd say that dream battles would have their own theme. But that doesn't mean every type or level range of pokemon would get it's own theme, it's a little hard to believe.

Another thing is that it was stated that you could get pokemon from dream mode, so I am assuming that, if you fight pokemon in dream mode it could very well mean that those pokemon would get the same theme in that mode. I'm not knocking the possibility that it won't happen but it seems silly considdering these circumstances.
