Long freakin game, that.
In other words, yes, you have to replay it if you want to truly complete the game.

It's a hell lot more original compared to chrono tiger and fucking shitty fantasy if you consider how many mid-evil inspired games there were at the time.
wh
ff6 is the best rpg on the snes what are you talking about
if you wanted to play another boring rpg with fucking knights and dumb shit like that then yes it would be good.
I stopped caring for that kind of stuff because the whole concept became boring after 4.
Oh yeah and I forgot about SMRPG too, that one is pretty good too, but really, get earthbound.
I could list so many reasons why you should get it, one of which is that it's different from the norm. and another is that the whole game proves that gameplay is twice as more important then the graphics (Which, are pretty decent considering how simple they are)

the whole concept gets old after 4, if you have played all 4 games VS.
FF6 is all nice and all, but it IS MORE OF THE SAME.
oh and CT's has not "true ending", but multiple endings depending on what you do or dont do in the game. after beating the game once, you're allowed to start a new game and get all sorts of alternate endings for teh sake of doing so

The one true ending is Marle and Chrono's wedding, right? Or am I mistaken.. I know in the playstation/DS ports there's a whole bundle of new endings, like evil Chrono and stuff.
07-24-2010, 10:43 PM
Everyone knows the TRUE ending is the one where Marle and Lucca go through all the male supporting cast and rate their sex appeal, and Chrono actually talks. Either that, or that awesome ending where Frog goes after Magus.
But you're still missing the point here:
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF---i love that game to death.

again, have you even PLAYED ff6

Legend of Mana...
...Is that the one where he's in this ghost town, or is that Evermore or something like that? It had a big, giant freakin monster on the boxart, is what i remember. Legend of something.

I remember playing both games (CT and EB) before, and I can say that they're good games
but CT has kicked my butt so many times I can't even enjoy it anymore. I can't beat it no matter what I do and it just increased my overall RPG hate. Don't get me wrong, CT is a great game but IT'S NOT FOR ME.
on the other side, EB was easier (by easier, I don't actually mean weak enemies; the game flowed naturally and in a good pace overall) and it's the only RPG I completed in all my life (along with its prequel and sequel). I can say that the setting helped me to go further in the game; I enjoyed beating hippies and cops while eating hamburgers you got from trash cans.
So, it'll depend on how you like your RPG. If you like serious stuff, then grab CT. If you like something simpler, go for EB.

Actually you are quite right I never played 6 because the whole premise of it was the same fucking thing as past games.
Again, the whole concept got old during 5-6. Admittingly however, I was somewhat interested in FF7 when I first heard of it, but that ended up being an overhyped game with the same gameplay and concept, everything was just modernized a bit.

but its like watching rocky 4. you know what to expect and the game somehow gets extremely predictable and while certainly there are no knights on ff6(wich is funny because the whole game revolves around a thief that actually turns into a knight-in-shinning-armor). if it wasnt for the plottwists the game would be really linear.
and about earthbound, i remember beating every boss and realising i didn't beat the second one(the mole), entirely skipping that part of the game. by the time I faced him, i was so strong i literally owned it in two or three hits.

Both are overrated but I don't see anything special about Earthbound especially since Mother 3 has better everything.

You're saying that they all have the same gameplay and whatever, but that's the whole point. FF11, FF12, and FF14 aside, all of them are turn-based RPGs. It's sort of a given that they'd all play similarly.
not to mention that 6 isn't the same premise so um what???????????
