Motherfucker!
I thought HE would propose to HER!
But maybe I'm just too traditional.
Also, curse you Perry the P-I mean Notch, for not bringing us the Halloween update on time, or whatever.
EDIT: WAAAAAAIIIIT a minute. I thought he was already engaged!
Phew, for a minute there I thought he wasn't engaged already and was the woman in the house.
Also am experimenting with adding new (server-sided) mobs to MineCraft. Not too big new mobs though, just small alterations, like making mobs immobile. Fun for animatronics.

Extract this in a separate directory (for example MVWMCAMod) inside the mods folder of MCAdmin. For now it just adds simple commands like /gps (shows you the current location) and /measure (measures the distance between two points).
Basically /measure works like this. To set a starting position, use /measure start. Then, you can walk to any point and use /measure to measure the distance between starting position and current.
if you have to walk to set two points, it makes no sense to not count on your own while you walk.
it would be more usefull if it could display how many blocks you have traveled in X distance while you walk.
Except Vipershark specifically asked for it.
Also, the way you asked it is not just impossible (due to movement not being restricted to solid blocks) but also too CPU extensive, seeing as it needs to recalculate and update the distance traveled at all times.
And it really is practical. What if you wanted to have a hole of exactly 108 blocks wide. Normally you would have just counted all 108 blocks. With this, all you have to do is set a starting point for your hole, perhaps even dig yourself in, then walk so manyth blocks in one direction and see how the x, y and z value change without having to bother to count.
Not to mention that when playing on a shitty computer (mine), the game tends to lag and skip kind of a lot. If this happens when you're counting blocks, it can make yu lose count VERRRY easily.
The measure command is a good idea.
Fuck shitty computer. If the server's shitty it will randomly teleport you to a point you were a few seconds earlier.
actually, i feel like giving you a verbal warning to measure your swearing gary. its really getting annoying and innecesary for the most part.
As if swearing is ever "necessary".
So yeah, now I'm the proud owner of a giant tree home. This is going to be my main base.
(excuse the dirt, it's a placeholder until i get to bulldozing a few forests)
That is quite possibly the most awesome -simple- base I have seen in Minecraft.
How long did it take?
That tree sucks and got burned down by accident.
HERES MY MASTERPIECE IM MAKING ON AN SMP SERVER.
Am I the only one who /doesn't/ like the biomes?
It makes the grass all ugly.
It would be cool if you could at least change the color back to the default one from before the update. It looked much better.
Actually, now my tree is done
the fruits light up at night
