In Touhou Mountain of Faith, choose Marisa B and keep her power around 3.00. Your laser will cut through bosses like butter.

you should be banned for beating up the dead, zombiefied, then dead again, then incinerated, then resurected, then dead again, dog.
if your "twist" was mozart, that joke was already made 6 months ago

I thought the joke was that he was the first one to make the mozart joke six months back

Video game developers do nothing but "borrow" from each other:
Flash Gal & Streets of Rage
Starfox & Space Harrier
Sonic & Strider
And how many games start out with this scene?
And for an actual easter egg:
A Golden Axe character in Shining in the Darkness

Sonic & Strider

The first two are common settings/scenes from western sort of movies, I don't think Streets of Rage directly ripped off :I
The third one I don't see how it has much in common other than the asian theme - they're as close as Dragon Road from Sonic Unleashed and Chai Kingdom from Super Mario Land. One is a ship and the other one are chinese walls. Both are also common themes in many games :V
About Sonic and Strider though, I remember that it was either Yasuhara or Naoto Oshima that really liked Strider and used as inspiration. I played Strider and I can safely say those parts are very very similar to those parts in Sonic 2 and 3.

besides flash gal and blaze using the same clothing, and having a boss siting in a chair, whats being borrowed?
you're aware most of these are extremely generic/common elements in virtually anything ever made?
isnt like you're going to say that Terminator 4's ending is a rip off from contra
or that Mr.X in that very first screenshot you posted sits in the exact same way Rugal does on his throne...

That's somewhat the point. Finding similarities between games isn't very hard, and there are cases, like Sonic & Strider, where one thing was almost certainly influenced by the other.

idk im gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's just joking

Nothing big, but Metroid Other M has one boss from each of the four "main" series games before it.
Metroid = Ridley
Metroid II = Queen Metroid
Metroid III = Phantoon
Metroid IV = Nightmare
