I can't recognize his face and compared to the others he is really small.

Also, this is my 100th post in the Community board. Time to celebrate.
Face is completely deformed, shading is flat, the arms are skeleton-less, he seems to have no muscle or tone, and the proportions are off. Might be easier o start over.
How about this for Rattata?

personally, I would probably shade it a bit more, I thought it looked flat.
does the quote function not work anymore or something?
@Pers neck looks too fat. the tooth and ears could be a little bigger. It does need a bit more shading: focus on shading the bottom of the belly and the back leg slightly. You might also want to have his head looking down toward the opponent's pokemon more. But I really like that pose otherwise.
@alex your point is valid, but your sprite is over-shaded. Also keep in mind that pkmn Yellow style uses no dithering except in rare situations.
list has been updated. I also threw together a Rhydon.
in earlier games sometimes to illustrait that a Pokemon is larger it would have an angled view almost like a birds eye view so the sprite would seem as if it didn't have enough room (kinda hard to explain, plus on mobile) this may be a good technique to look into when working on machamp
First post in here of 2012!
I made a crappy Fearow because bored.
Wings could use some touch ups, but I rike it
Yeah. I think the wings are too small, for one thing, and making them bigger should help with most of the rest of the issues.
With nothing to do for a while, I made some edits to some of the existing Pokemans.
Omaster: Pulled the back of his shell in a bit and fixed a bit of sketchiness in the top right, making his shell look more "round".
Arcanine: Added a bit of shadow under his head to stop him sporting a massive beard. Also altered the shadow on the tail a tad, and added slight shading on the rear legs.
Primape: Tried to enlarge the hands and feet. Not sure how well this worked, though :/
