Um, I have an immobile sprite of Rhyme and it's really all I need but I'm an amateur so I can't get rid of all the colours around her and I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. ^-^

Use the eraser tool in mspaint. If you need it transparent, use graphicsgale/iaza.com or something.
x.x I tried that but I'm not precise enough to be able to get rid of all the colours and using the Fill/Flood/whatever thing doesn't work either because there are too many different colours in the background. So I'm kinda stuck.

Well there's your problem. It needs to be png so that each color is easily definable. Once that is the case, all it takes is some patience to erase all the unnecessary stuff around it.
