I see your battle network influences GrooveMan, hehe~
If you go with an outstretched hand remember to give it some personality, like in your avatar. I have trouble spriting hands too
Vibin' hoeloe but the elbow on the far arm animates really strangely
Haha, actually my initial inspiration was Todd Ingram from Scott Pilgrim. The whole "I have psychic powers watch as I float nochalantly and not give a fuq"
And then it turned out to be vaguely BN style. OH GOD I CAN'T SHAKE IT

I'm starting over because i'm gay. And this might end up being more dynamic when animated, I dunno. I've not decided what she should have floating in his hand (I can't draw hands, I wonder how this will turn out)

I see your point. I'll try and give that a shot.

Male, I need to change the chest shading so it doesn't look like he has tits. :V

Basic idea for my animation. It's gonna be some wizard dude with a staff, but I wanted to get a body movement right. He's supposed to be sort of bouncing on his feet ready to move, but I think I made it move too much.

This is horrible, ima redesign something else.

I think this is the one I'm going to flesh out. I know it's super lame because it reverses back the way it came, but... whatever, beginner thread. As for what it is, I have a plan, but I'm not fleshing it out tonight, so... toodles.

I had a go. Not sure if I like it though...

@hoeloe- his legs are way too long for his body

I know. It's exaggerated proportion. A lot of people use it in order to make characters look skinnier.
Plus, they are only 3 or 4 pixels too long, since his body is hunched, and perfect proportion usually has the legs the same length as the rest of the body, including the head.
EDIT: Did a little work on the style of the sprite, mostly doing some outlining work. It's a subtle difference, but in my opinion it works for the better.
