Wow, this is fantastic. Are the playable characters all edited from Symphony of the Night? Does that mean we'll see Sypha and Grant as well?
Yeah, 2 spriters (Reiko26 and Laslunder) already gave Obreck full spritesheets so they're ready to go, there is even a poll in our forums to decide which one will he code next :p
You know what
ADD HECTOR INTO THIS SHIT
HIM AND ST. GERMAIN
Admit it, it will be awesome if you did that
6A seems inspired by CV3 and Legends. The first vid made me go "meh" at the stage design at first, but stage 6 looked good, yeah.
Grant and Sypha were completed (well, I think Sypha is still in the works but here's a preview)
Grant
Sypha
We do.

oh, I never knew, never saw it in the posting tools and when I asked before no one told me how to lol, nice to know I'll be using it from now on, thanks
Oh, it's active. What do you know~
(add Hector)
Looks very good mechanically. I have a few notes though on Sypha. 1) If you're recreating the whole game, shouldn't she be hooded? That way Trevor still won't discover she's a woman until the end. Of course, by this point everyone who knows Castlevania knows she's a woman. it'd be like remaking the original Metroid and still referring to Samus as a "he" the whole time for a mock surprise ending. 2) Her run cycle needs more frames. After the front arm moves all the way forward, it suddenly jerks back. There's no fluidity.

There's gonna be different choosable costumes using different designs for the characters, such as Alucard using another games design. Hooded Sypha would be one of the costumes for her.
A new stage video is out. Sorry about the loss of sound sync about half way through:
