I belive somebody brought up hippo (forgot who it was), but I do think this would probably be the best choice.

Yeah I didn't like Hippo myself since not only do we have one already but then I feel bad for Phanpy and Donphan.

Why? Phanpy is a Ground Elephant. Its pretty much a counterpart with Hoppopotas. Giving a Hippo a Water type means that we'd need a Water Elephant too. Or not... But that's how I feel. I'll still add him.

I think we set up the poll with Hippo, Desman, Platypus, and some sort of prehistoric walking Dolphin.

That poll sounds good to me.

also, when it comes to pokemon, Nintendo doesn't care how many of the same animal species they have, look at the frogs, like every gen has a new frog/family of frogs. Besides, we could even make a "water elephant" as a normal pokemon if we wanted too, so it doesn't really matter.

Yes I suppose. I guess its just me personally who wants to step up and make some really unique and different Pokemon.

But I'll leave that up to the pollers to decide. As for me I'll be voting for the Desman since I have an idea for his nose becoming the nozzle to a firehose.

I came up with a name for a water type elephant pokemon a while ago, but I'm no so good at concepts.

Umbrellaphant.

That has too many letters in it's name. The maximum amount is 10 characters.

I like this hippo a lot............water hippo would be awesome.

Edit: This thing is awesome, Its a really cool idea to make a pokedex this way..........

Remember, the Pokémon don't really have to look like what it's based on.
Tsutarja is based on a snake, but it hardly looks like one
