Those aren't lips. The red part is the inside of the mouth. The pink part is the tounge.
This project looks so neat and I have all the free time in the world so I thought I'd join in... If ya'll would be so keen as to have me.
I'm an okay drawer, a pretty decent spriter and I would love to be of assistance when I can. I like how this project is based on a bunch of different people pitching ideas, inspiring eachother, and working with other people's creations to make the best possible pokemon.
This is how I imagine Gamefreak does things.
I started working on Mosquito evolution line... this guy is based on a larva.
I made sketches of both evolutions but they're very weak... Especially the final form. Looks like a cartoon drawing of a mosquito.
And Fizzy Bubbles, your idea is too cute! Here's a sketch I did of him.
May I suggest a grass/dark based on Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors?
Ill have a concept up in a few
Oh very good Snare. I couldn't really make heads or tails of Fizzy's drawing but now it looks like a pretty nice concept.
Maybe make the mosquito larvae look more worm-like with a larger cuter head.
Is this better?
Edit- I find the first to be much better after comparing them again.
Also I have two ideas for an Anemone pokemon which there was talk of... Is it too cutesy you think? It was hard to come up with a less cutesy design that didn't make me think of Lileep or Cradily.
Edit - I fear the first is too Vileplumey, and the second is too Marakachhi had sex with Whismur-y
I liked the first larva better, it seemed more caterpie to me....anyways, I finaly did take a photo of the pot o' gold idea,
Since I've done that, I also thought of two more ideas for fossils.. here they are...
Spinosarus:
Ichthyosaurus:
what do you think... and I know the quality is bad,but I don't have a scanner.....so yeah...
the fossils look too much like the actual animal they're based off of, and don't really look like pokemon.
Also, I don't think the pot o' gold's design is very practical. . .
the crown on it's pot doesn't seem like it fits with the design, and the rainbow doesn't fit.
I'll try to whip something up.
Also Snare, I am in love with the rock design. don't change it AT ALL
the reasons why I did the crown is because, 1.) odviously gold, 2.) I'd though it could give off light (hence the rainbow, it doesn't have to be there all the time, it just produces it from it's spheres on top of it's crown, also hense the RGB on it (primary colors of light, for those who dont know).
I do agree, the Fossils do look to much like the actual animals, I'll see what I can do...
It's not that you shouldn't use the crown (I actually like the idea), but i think you should incorporate it into your design. Now, however, I feel like a hypocrite, because my design sucks, but here's what I meant by the crown.
^it looks to similar, and I need to fix the handles :X

Since I am the one who came up with the Pokémon, do you like the idea that since it is so clumsy, it rocks are the results of falling?
@Baegal: no your not a hyporcrite, I like it, better than mine.
anyways, for the spino, I was thinking, it of being a steel-type, where the sail will be, it will be a saw (like a table saw), and also has one on its tail. I show a pic when its finished.
EDIT: hows this?
yeah, I like personality in pokemon. Maybe, for that reason, it should have a clumsy face?
also I like the idea for the saw, mutant
Thanks, is there anything maybe I could do to improve it?
oh wait, I misheard. I thought you meant the saw for the shark/dolphin. I actually liked the dinosaur before. I just feel the dolphin is a bit too basic (keep the face, though, I like that)
