the reason is because I wanted two fossil Pokemon that essentially were equal. I understand he wanted this to be the Aerodactyl, but no version after the first had more than two fossil Pokemon.

but arent the ram and lizard already upright?

1)What generation will we use as a base?
2)Will it be multi-language?
I was planning on doing the ROM hack when more of the sprites get done. But most use Gen 3 since its rather easy and there's a good bunch of tools already out there.
They could also be referred to as 'Mountain-range' Pokémon.
The Peacock is an interesting Idea, a change to the colour scheme wouldn't hurt it.

Many people designing the Ram had his evolution on all fours. So there would be a switcheroo. Much like the 5th gen Water and Fire starters.
Looking at the spino prevo design, I don't really like it. It looks too similar to it's evolution in my opinion. It also should not look that cute, since none of the fossil pokemon have ever really had a cute factor.
Acutally, a few of them are cute and most of them look like their evolutions, (look at Omanyte to Omastar, Omanyte is cute, and looks like its evolution with a few exceptions, or look at Shieldon, they have a cute apperence) but if you don't like it, you don't have to, its just a sudgestion.
anyways, I decided to make a cardinal as our pidgy, it does need work though.
EDIT: Before you say anything, no I didn't look at a cardinal, I know they look a little different from what I made, but its just a start.
Omanyte didn't look cute in the same way Charmander or Pikachu looked cute. Just because it doesn't look angry doesn't mean it looks cute.
Also that Cardinal looks like a recoloured Pidgey.
I was trying to design an Orchid pokemon... But I came up with a Flower Mantis instead. These creatures hide inside a flower, camouflaging almost perfectly until some unsuspecting sap comes to get a drink of nectar. Bitch ain't had no idea what was comin' to him, y'hear?
I based the head off a
phalaenopsis orchid. I transformed the labellum of the orchid into mandibles! I'm so clever.
I think it'd be OK if the first stage of the dinosaur could work if it was cute, but only if he was really angry too. Like the way a little kid will get mad and pout and try to act tough, but will still come off as kind of adorable simply because he's little? That sort of thing would work. Right now he just looks really too cute, but the general design of him isn't bad.
So, like change the eyes? make them less cute, but still have that cute factor in them? it could work like that, I have to look at different Pokemon eyes to under stand which ones will work well
and I'll fix the cardinal later.
EDIT: Actually, I already did, I forgot about it, this is my change:
I know it doesn't look a lot different from the other, but I remembered, cardinals have that extended dome or what ever it is on their heads, and I tried to change up the black around the eyes up also
Maybe you guys can take a look at some of my favorite Fakemon on Deviantart for some design inspiration.

The guys who made those are really good. Some of my ideas were inspired by them.
Also, earlier I think someone mentioned a new Shark? Well I was thinking maybe a Sawfish. Technically not a true shark but a close relative.
The cuteness wasn't the only issue with the prevo. It's far too similar to it's evolution, I'd suggest removing the dark brown on the top of it's head, perhaps removing the white under it's mouth, and then altering the rock on it's back so that it doesn't look just like a scaled-down version of the evo. I'd suggest making the rock on the prevo's back have the look of rubble, rather than crystal.
