No I understand what you are saying.like I said, I think a lot of the problems are due to the pose in general. I mean with his wings out they are going through the flower and passing behind the tail part. I think the best solution would be, if it's used of course, to have him in a standing pose, or angled differently.

As for me I felt the Desman needed a redesign.



I'd like to point out that the nose is more pointy and hose like, the one we currently have looks eerily phallic. To make his design more interesting and more mole-like I have him larger forearms too.

Also here's a proposed Second Form. I remember people saying they wanted a fireman them, well I tried but it never looked right so then I thought perhaps a fire hydrant?



His head resemble a hydrant now. I'm not sure on the color scheme. I made this but I don't know if it works.

Y'know, I wasn't really all that into the idea of a firefighter water type or fire engine or whatever, but I actually really kind of like that 2nd stage. Something about seems very Pokemon-ish, which is something that a lot of Fakemon don't do. And the changes to the 1st stage are pretty good too. I agree that the larger forearms look better, but I still get that circle on the cheek mixed up for an eye every time I glance at it. I think a swirly pattern, or a tuft of fur, would look better.

Also, I was tinkering with the fire starter a bit. Ok it was a lot more than a bit. But something about his face and head seemed to bother me. I dunno what, but I was thinking it looked weird having him with a perfectly round head when ram's heads are normally elongated. I tried to make the snout stick out a bit and keep it cute, but it looked too odd so I ended up reshaping the head to be smaller and thinner. But this head kind of looked odd on a body that was standing up, so I changed him to be on all fours. I just thought it worked better with this head shape. Also, I saw a few suggestions for Rock or Ground subtypes when it evolves, and I feel being on all fours is more down-to-earth. There also hasn't been a completely quadrupedal fire starter evolutionary line, so it would be kind of unique in that way. The eyes were based off of Charmander's, because I was going for that sort of cute-ish look. I also got rid of the flame on his head because I felt with all two horns and two ears, there was enough going on up there on his head. But the tail is meant to resemble a flame, and through evolution this could spread to his back or something. But the curly wool looked a bit to much like Mareep, so two versions. The first is like a sheep that have been sheared, so the body is kind of thin. Then I tried to make the wool shaggy and long instead of thick and curly. I know this ruins the look of smoke that the wool had before, but I was just trying around with different looks. Then I attempted to color.

Collaborate with them to do what exactly? I mean, do you mean to work on the design in general or to start from scratch, and if so, is it because there is something wrong with the type combo or something else?

No I mean working on a final design for that Pokemon. One thing I've noticed here during this project is that all designs have been a collaboration of various people reworking other people's designs. Like for example when the ram was made it was very simple and kind of sketchy. A few people tweaked it, changed it up several times and now we're are getting closer to a final design.

I think however if we actually have teams we can design Pokemon even better.

Mkay. While I'm thinking about it, I messed with it some more and tried some different stuff.

I tried making it look a bit more like his prevo but i don't like it.

Honestly, I like original one, I think the only issue would be the tail. If anything though, I'd like to keep the wings as is. As you can see I tried making an alt that would look like the Huminy's wings and it didn't look too good. His original however kinda looks like a flower (the red and white parts being petals).

Mind if I toss up a creation of my own? I meant to draw and post this a while ago, but for some reason never really did.
It's a mistletoe-based Pokemon, grass/ice type. I haven't decided on any particular names, though.

There's a quick sketch of what I had in mind. The coat-like leaves hanging off of it extend all the way around the back, and the red parts back there are two red petals hanging down like a cape, as I thought it would be fitting for it to evolve into a poinsettia due to it also being a Christmasy plant. If anyone wants to give ideas or play with the design, feel free to go right ahead.

That's clever and I like it. I personally wouldn't change a thing

I've been waiting for Devicho to post in this thread! That Mistletoe looks great, and I love the Poinsettia idea. As for the new ram, I'm not a big fan of it. It doesn't look as Pokemon-ish as before, and more like an animal. I don't really know how to fix it, however.

I like the new desman a lot, by the way. The second evo's great, too, but I feel like its tuft of fur that make whiskers are a tad distracting. Maybe something could be worked with it?

I think you should switch the colors for the hat and the earmuffs. If the earmuffs were the cheek circles in the previous form they should be the same color
