or maybe they're just not fun ~idk~
quoted forever
I understand the appeal is that they're nintendo hard, but there's just something about mmc that takes it over the top.
Fortuntely the X series takes it down to enjoyable levels.

Crazy Gadget ? Cause that bitch is infinite.
On that subject: Mad Space.
FUCK. ALL. THAT. SHIT.
At least Mad Space had quite a few different planets.
Crazy Gadget was repetitive as FUCK.
Plus with that piss-off gravity changing shit, it's just...
UUUGGGGHHHH !!
Has anyone ever even beaten it without having the
7min song loop ?!

Huh.
But yeah on a more serious note I do agree the level design could have been better for that stage. I personally enjoyed the reversed gravity sections although I didn't realize until later that they were an awesome throwback to the Death Egg in Sonic and Knuckles since SA2B was my first Sonic game.

Nice photoshop.
Yeah sure. I can prove it if you want me to :p Its not hard for me to record a video.
I remember Monstro in Kingdom Hearts being really annoying. All the areas looked almost exactly the same and because they were all so small it made the flawed camera system that much more irritating.
Oh
And also every level in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Not my best run, but it should be enough to show that if its done well it could get down to around 3 min or less.
Another annoying thing that's not quite a level, but came to mind while making this is the idiotic artifact hunt at the end of Metroid Prime 1. It REALLY shouldn't have been necessary to do that much backtracking. Oh and god forbid you try to get all of the scans in ANY of the Prime games.

what
the mega man classic games are pretty easy, for the most part
any level with the vanishing block puzzle.
elec man's stage.
guts man's stage.
just a few examples.
also shadowth how did you get that fps meter there
are you emulating that on dolphin?
the only vanishing puzzle that was ever annoying in a mega man game was the one i just posted.
these drill-horned platforms in airman's stage are quite annoying as as well.
also i didn't find crazy gadget THAT annoying
there are countless times where i somehow missed a jump and went flying into the acid pits
but the level isn't /that/ bad
Guts Man's stage is hust a matter of Timing, and I never had problem with Elec Man's vanshing block puzzle.
Seriously most of the vanshing block puzzles are really easy.
Also you can jet over almost all of them if you have the power.

Yeah I was using Dolphin because I don't have a capture card. I put the FPS counter in there to show it was going nearly full speed although the sound would have proved that now that I think of it.

(I still enjoy the game because it's entertainingly bad, but that doesn't stop it from sending you into a blind rage out of sheer annoyance.)
Oh, and Sonic Heroes.
The pinball table.
The lava tower.
Actually, yeah, the whole game just plain sucked ass.
I liked sonic heros better then sonic 2006, not gonna lie although Heros does have it's issues. those fucking turtles man.
All of Harvest moon Saving the homeland, the last dungeon in Dark Cloud 1 is pretty annoying, thats all i can think of right now.
The levels of Mega Man Classic don't bother me as much until I get to Dr. Wily's Fortress levels.
1) I had to cheat (pause menu Thunder Beam/Rolling Cutter trick) to beat the Yellow Devil and Dr. Wily (I did later come back and beat this on my own without cheating).
7) With the bigger sprites and wonky hit detection, Wily Fortress 1 becomes annoying due to the instant kill furnaces.
8) Getting into the main part of Wily Fortress 1. JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE
9) Wily Fortress 1 and 3. Even with Concrete Shot, it's hard to freeze the instant kill beams in Wily Fortress 1. 3 had an annoying Twin Demon boss.
10) Wily Fortress 1 and 2. I've never gotten any further than the second stage. God damn Weapon Archive draining my items in the 1st stage.
EDIT - Wait. One regular level did annoy me. Quick Man's stage from Mega Man 2. Damn instant kill beams.
EDIT 2 - I forgot about Frost Man's Stage from 8. I hate it for the same reason as Wily Fortress 1 in 8.
