Hey,
I was going to port all the Tales of the Abyss models into PSO, but then realized that it's currently impossible to import them. I have nothing else to do with them, so I'll just post them here once I'm finished.
Here's my progress so far:
Tear:
Just started experimenting with ripping a few days ago, so she may look a little janky... and faceless.
That's actually looking pretty good so far.
Woah, how did you rip her by chance? I could give you a method on ripping her better if you know how to get the model viewer thing to work right.

Chance? Haha.

There is no model viewer. I rip it straight from PCSX2.
The only problem is that there's lots of manual work:
Also I'll have to find a way to get their faces and UV map the models myself, otherwise the rip is perfect.
Would you be willing to share your method or technique on how you're doing it? The thing is, I know of a way that keeps the UV map in tact. Granted the method I use can be a bit painful and needs more or less a model viewer of sorts. I'm just curious how you're method works. Keep it up though.
The PS2 game I've been ripping from is Xenosaga Ep III. It is true you have to do a bit of manual work either way to get a full fledged model ripped though.
Ultimecia will love this.
I forgot to add this earlier. What I mean by model viewer is, the in-game model viewer. It only shows the game models like Asch when he *coughslookslikelukecough*. I have to use Xenosaga Ep. III's in-game model viewer (albeit with some in game hacking for t-posing) to get better and cleaner rips.

It's nothing special. I use 3d Ripper in conjunction with Via to get the model. I recommend using gsplugin 1.7, as it seems to bring out the best results.
For texture, I use 3d Ripper or Texmod (which gave me more stuff at times). Usually the hue is shifted, so I bring it up in photoshop and shift it back.
As for my progress, I gave the flying thing a face:
Ah I see. That's one of the methods I know as well. Do you happen to know how to rip using 3D Via and keep the UV maps? Everytime I used it, it destroyed the UV map of the model.
