The pose is just so awkward and boring
I have to make an edit. Sorry I should have asked but I couldn't help it. Hope you don't mind.

I made it look like he's more ready to jump into action. I can't possibly imagine it would be easy to smoothly go into a running animation with that pose. I also lowered him a few pixels because the proportions (yes even for a fictional robot) look really bizarre. Also that thing on his thigh area, is that supposed to be a knee highlight? I wasn't sure so I just left it. But if it is, its way too high and should probably be on the other knee too. Also about the knee, yours has a very slight bend while the other looks unnaturally straight. Fixed that too.
I've played about 7 minutes of MegaMan 2, and thats about it. I honestly have no idea how he looks now so I based it on what I think looks right d:

I appreciate the edit, and I was gonna fix his pose in a bit.
The reason I didn't want him shrinking is because I want the at exactly the NES limitation. Also, the proportions I had were to make him look a bit more human.

Regardless, thanks, and Ill try something like that as soon as I have the background sorted out.

Also, its not even really the official design . I just kinda tinkered with it. It doesn't look far from the original though.

Oh thats right, you mentioned the NES restrictions to me earlier, sorry I forgot d:
What is the setting of the mockup? To me, it looks like dirt on top of electronic equipment in the sky, or atop a mountain.

Its supposed to be kinda like a wasteland, hence the colors, the clouds are their to fill space and look nice because I cant think of much to add :X

I still want them to be their however, I'm just not good at thinking of a background. The boss is going to end up being Waste man.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I didn't put much time into thinking about this one :X

Well. I would assume piles of generic junk, broken electronic boxes, broken piping with wires hanging off would be approriate. The occasional crack and sludge/oil would also add to the atmosphere. Rocks are always good. Be sure to add lots of depth too.

I made this guy today out of boredom, its Simmiror from Kirby Super Star. I will probably sheet him.

What style is Simmirror? KA? He's good though.

His arms are a wip, that the between the torso and the bottom half is eventually going to be a spine.
