@gors, think you could open one of those chunk files you have in notepad and tell me what you see, please?
oh crap, I discovered the fault
since you use English notation for numbers, you're using a dot for decimal divisory; My Brazilian computer uses a comma for the same purpose. This difference of symbols make your 1 values to be understood as 1000 in my notation.
I'll try tinkering with my Windows config; but if you can make a version of this program without this kind of problem, it'd be appreciated.

ah, that explains it.
Yeah, I can fix that. It'll give me an excuse to decrease the chunk file size, too!
EDIT: Well, that was easy...

It's actually the same exact link, so you might have to reset your cache or whatever.

Note: I'm getting rid of a bunch of the different chunk types.
The ones that will stay are:
flat -- Mostly flat ground with obstacles; probably the most common
stairs -- Used to transition from flat to upperflat
slide -- Used to transition from upperflat to flat
upperflat -- The same as flat, except higher on the screen (half-way up)
twoflat -- Has two levels, one taking up the higher region, the other taking up the lower one.
tunnel -- Has a ceiling at the top. Mostly an aesthetic difference from flat.
twotunnel -- Twoflat with a ceiling.
Gaps in the ground can be in any of these, though try to make sure you don't make too many that could result in the player getting trapped in a bad spot.
EDIT: Oh no, my posts weren't merged!
EDIT2: People can test a basic version of the level generator here.

I forgot to switch to GM8, so it doesn't have any of Guy's additions yet (sorry).

My "additions" weren't all that great to begin with (just added in the Sol text, and altered the flat terrain gen for random blocks between 0-64 pixels), it's nothing you couldn't do within 10-20 mins.
I was just thinking of SOL the other day, got on and seen you had posted the level editor.

bumping this, I don't know if it's really worthy of a bump
but I did some changes on the graphics (Mainly Danubine's, to match her latest appearance)
also I am willing to make a lot of chunks for the game, so I would be thankful if this project becomes complete!
