I'd lower the top of the upper wings on the second frame by one pixel as they look really odd this way with those bulges. Think of them as insect wings, they don't change their shape, but only their angle.
The wings should be correct now.
Edit: Due some odd circumstances I made a 16x16 fairy.
Tektites!
The eyes are somewhat small and hard to see and maybe the back legs could be put a tad further back.
I'd say the 16x8 fairy's wings should be at full width at the second frame, too, otherwise they'd lookm as if they were shrinking.
So I hope this solves the problems. By the way the tektite eyes are in fact that small as seen with the TP and OoT/MM tektite.
Edit: Because Infidelity, couldn't figure out how to change the programming of the overworld monsters, we couldn't replace the old fairy properly. And since I was unable to add black outlines because of lacking space, here a energy sphere which sprinkles dust around instead. It is lazy I know, but that is all what was possible...
Why not make it look like an actual fairy like in the old games?
And the prefer the tektite with the smaller eye. Maybe make it's eye solid white.
I cannot believe it myself, but here it is. The new fairy, albeit without complete black outlining.
Edit: Here now the new Tektite.
Edit2: The Tektites have now more insect-like mandibles.
The mandibles look rather good, nice work. As for the eye-sizes, I am not quite sure. From what I feel just observing them, it seems like it could work with either the large or small eyes (considering there is no way to do something 'in between' in size). Leaning toward the large eyes, though. They seem to fit with the same size as the original frames.
Thank you DoctorGrey for your feedback. I however like the small eyes more as the big ones, since I am a fan of the tektites from Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.

Well as I said, it could work with either one, so go ahead and use the one that you like. I was just saying that I would go with the larger eye myself, just because it makes the detail a bit more readable, though it doesn't matter overly much.
MADNESS!
My Armos became Gespensts!
It looks more like the Eyegore.
Since it's one of those giant-eye-shoot-with-arrow enemies, I'd make the eye somewhat more visible.
